John Tallarido

Biography Overview

Having graduated in 1998 from Touro Law School in New York, John Tallarido became a licensed attorney in the States of Florida and Michigan. He also became a Florida Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2004. John earned his degree in Business Administration from Mount Saint Mary’s University and practiced pension accounting at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City after obtaining his undergraduate degree. Subsequently, John attained his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University in New Jersey and thereafter, his law degree.

Along with practicing elder law and estate planning, John has extensive experience and specialty practice working with assisted living facilities of all sizes in helping their residents cope and adjust to the changes seniors and the disabled experience when entering new living arrangements, along with other issues specific to these populations. He also assists the owners and managers of assisted living facilities in helping their residents qualify for Medicaid long term care financial assistance.

As an elder law attorney, John remains steadfast as an advocate for the elderly and their loved ones. In this particular practice area, John effectively handles a wide range of legal matters affecting an older or disabled person, including issues related to health care, long term care planning, guardianship, retirement, Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, and other important matters.

John has represented assisted living facilities in a variety of cases involving the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) where substantial fines were levied, as well as facility/resident contract review and consultations on various legal matters.

John was born in New Jersey and was raised at the Jersey Shore in a town called Belmar. After graduating from law school, he and his family moved to Michigan where he became a licensed Michigan attorney. In 2004, they relocated to Florida and he became both a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a licensed Florida attorney.
