
Jonathan Jaffe
As a native Floridian, Kevin Hagen knows the State of Florida and has been practicing law for more than 25 years throughout the state. During his professional career, he has been a partner at the law firm of Hagen & Hagen, P.A. and has helped thousands of clients with their legal needs.
After being admitted to Florida Supreme Court, Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, United States Supreme Court and United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, Kevin maintained a general practice including bankruptcy, foreclosure, debtor’s rights and consumer protection. The law firm also handled commercial litigation, such as real estate matters involving foreclosures, lender liability and escrow disputes, and transactional work such as commercial and residential real estate and corporate mergers and acquisitions.
From his own personal business perspective, he started First Capital Venture Co. generating almost $60 million in gross revenues during a three year span and founded Juris Title Chartered to handle real estate transactions. Kevin has also served as the Chief Executive Officer of publicly traded companies including PotNetwork Holding, Inc. as well as serving on the board of directors of other profit and not for profit businesses.
In addition to his legal education, Kevin has been licensed by the National Basketball Association, International Basketball Federation, National Association of Securities Dealers Series 6 and 63, Florida Life and Health Insurance and Variable Annuities and Florida 3-20 All Lines Public Adjuster while he still maintains his licensing as a Florida Real Estate Sales Associate, Florida Supreme Court certified circuit mediator, and Florida Supreme Court qualified arbitrator.
Previously, Kevin served as a Collins Center for Public Policy mediator during the height of the foreclosure crisis, Registered Representative for MassMutual Financial Group and former counsel for banking institutions, including Fifth Third Bank, Norwest Financial and Dial Bank.
As part of his formal education, Kevin attended the University of Florida where he graduated with honors and then obtained his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University. His continuing education included becoming a Better Business Bureau Arbitrator, courses with the National Association of Security Dealers, Florida Bar Continuing Legal Education, Supreme Court of Florida Dispute Resolution Center and Department of Financial Services Life/Health/Variable Annuities. Besides attending various Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund, Stewart Title Company, Florida Bar and Federal Bar Association seminars, he has also been a lecturer at other seminars including Consumer Bankruptcy 101.
During his career, he also provided professional services and maintained membership in various associations including the National Association of Consumer Advocates, National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, Broward County Legal Aid, Miami-Dade County Put Something Back Program, and Court-appointed Attorney Ad Litem. Earlier in his career, Kevin was a former member of the Florida Bar Consumer Affairs Committee and Florida Bar Law School Liaison sion Committee.
In addition, Kevin was previously associated with the Broward County Bar Association, American Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, National Consumer Law Center and Phi Kappa Psi Alumni Club while he still remains a member of the Broward, Palm Beach, and St. Lucie Realtors® Association.
As a philanthropic person, Kevin has served on the board of directors for the American Cancer Society, Downs Syndrome Awareness Group, and Blooming With Autism. Other community services have included events such as turkey giveaways for Thanksgiving and fundraising for Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
